This is my fourth month of tracking my stats. I think it’s be a great way for me to keep track of my progress. And send a shout out to all the nice folks who stop by to visit me!
Alexa Ranking: 277, 144. That’s down from 306, 634 at the end of last month. My climb is definitely slowing down, but I guess that’s to be expected. I’m part of the Yakezie challenge, and hoping to crack the top 200, 000 before the first six months are up. I started posting near the end of March, so I’m going to give myself a little more time before I consider it six months. I know I owe a lot of credit to the nice folks who stop by, comment, and tweet my posts, so THANK YOU!!
Twitter followers – I have 73 followers now. That’s up from 53 last month. Hooray!
Facebook fans. Well – I actually have a facebook page now. But I haven’t done anything with it. I’ll try to spend some time on the long weekend checking out other folks pages, and sprucing up mine.
RSS subscribers – 13. Hmm. I’m up 4 from last month. As my father says – we progress.
Unique Visitors – 1642. OH MY GOSH!! That’s a couple hundred more than I had last month. Not bad.
Do you post stats on your blog? Do you have monthly goals?
Congrats on your stats – I see a lot of positive arrows and movement in the right direction. Twitter followers come in bunches, but once you crack your first 100, they sorta come in bunches. Alexa is a lot of work for the next 100 (under 200), and even harder once you crack 100. This comes from experience from someone who’s going through it now. However, I’m certain you’ll get there.

Nice work with the progress MCB. I think you’re on pace to get under 200k with your alexa by your 6 month anniversary, but you might have to step things up a bit to get under for sure. It does definitely get a lot tougher the lower you go. I don’t post my stats on my blog anymore, but I did every week previously. My reasoning for stopping is that at first I wanted to boost all stats, but now I am more focused on building SEO strength. So I don’t want any stats to sidetrack me from that goal. Usually I didn’t have any monthly goals, but I know they are helpful for some people.

I do not currently do that, but I’m thinking maybe I should start making some personal blog goals. Congrats on moving up, pretty great progress!!

Good for you!! That’s great news. No I don’t really post stats weekly per say. I have posted once or twice in the past maybe. I try to focus on doing what I love and that is sharing what we do with our money and listening to what others do etc. I also focus on the SEO of my blog although I’m sure once I move over to self hosted and jazz up my website I will do more.
However I still think it is important to set goals. I’d be lying if I didn’t say at one point the numbers meant something to me and they still do, but now I know if people truly want to come, they will come and they will stay.
